Hemp Seed Sweet Potato Salad
Taking a traditional potato salad and uplevelling it in health, happiness, flavor and fun!
  • 8 medium Sweet potatoes
  • 2 cloves Raw garlic
  • 1/2 cup Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup Hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped Parsley
  • As you wish Sea salt
Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of sea salt and fully submerge your potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes. You want to cook them until they are tender. Give them a poke with a fork to find out! When they are done, drain away hot water and run the potatoes through cold water and put them in the fridge. Once they are cooled, coat the potatoes with the olive oil and toss in your herbs, sea salt and fresh garlic. You can eat right away or refrigerate overnight and let the flavours marinate. This recipe is to die for, you'll love it!!

Ok so why hemp? Beyond the reason that they are easy to use and delicious, they are also SUPER CHARGED with nutrients!

Hemp Hearts may look little, but they contain 10 grams of plant-based protein and 10 grams of omega-3 and omega-6 per 30-gram serving (more than a comparable serving of flax or chia). There’s no need to grind or cook Hemp Hearts, they’re ready to eat straight from the bag and are simple to incorporate into your diet. You can try sprinkling them on salads, sprouted oatmeal, coconut kefir yogurt or even just blend them into smoothies. The possibilities are endless!
